About Friday Night Football Scores
Friday Night Football Scores was founded in 2011 with a simple mission – to provide real-time access to all Texas high school football game scores. No stats, no rivals, no media, no hype – just scores. Scores for all 1,561 high school football teams in Texas.
When a football fan is working and has to miss the big game, or is outside Texas and wants live score updates, he or she doesn’t have to call around for information. Just watch the live score updates take place throughout each game on the Friday Night Football Scores web app.
Our web app can be accessed by all smart phones, tablets, and desktop computers. Previously an iPhone-only app, our web app is a magnet for viewers each week in every Texas football community, especially on Friday nights. Everyone wants to see the local team’s real-time score.
Right below the constantly-updated game score are brief text ads from ten local merchants, linked either to their website or their own web page on the Friday Night Football Scores mobile website. Each merchant can change their ad and/or the link as often as they like at no extra charge. They can test what works and what doesn’t in real time.
What a Local Reseller Does
A Local Reseller sells the ten ads for their team’s pages on Friday Night Football Scores (current game page, team schedule page, this week’s games in the district, and district win-loss record), and keeps most of the income. All the ads will appear on each of the four team pages.
In exchange, Friday Night Football Scores asks the Local Reseller to recruit two or more reliable local football fans as the team’s score reporters. Scores are reported via a simple smartphone interface, and it is the Local Reseller’s responsibility to ensure that score reports come in.
Local Resellers set their own ad prices based on what makes sense in their community. Friday Night Football Scores suggests several possible models, starting at $6 per week for the final ad slot.
Local Resellers can choose to pay one single payment of $488 for the season for exclusive rights to sell the 10 ads below a specific team’s score listing, or pay a $122 setup fee and 30% of ad revenues for the same exclusive rights.
Potential net profits to the Local Reseller for the season range from $928 to $4,012, based on suggested ad prices of $6 to $24 per week up to as high as $18 to $72 per week.
If a potential Local Reseller is already selling ads to merchants, this should be a simple up-sell.
If the potential Local Reseller is a group with activities they wish to promote to the community, they may wish to use the ad slots themselves for their own events and forego the potential income stream. All we ask is the $488 per team for the season, plus score reporters.
A potential Local Reseller may resell ads for as many teams as they desire. The prices quoted above are per team.
What You Will Be Selling
You will be selling the Local Reseller Package (the exclusive rights for the Local Reseller to sell the 10 ad slots under each local team’s score listing). The Local Reseller who buys the exclusive rights will usually sell the ad slots to local merchants at more than a 70% profit margin. If a non-profit organization, such as a chamber of commerce or a church, wants to purchase all 10 ad slots for their own advertising purposes, that is a Sponsor Package, which sells for $488 per team listing for the season. If you sell a Sponsor Package, you make the same 50% commission as you would on a Reseller Package.
To Whom You Will You Be Selling
Newspapers – First you will try to sell the local weekly or daily newspaper. It is a natural for them, because they already sell ads to local merchants, so this is usually just a quick upsell to their best customers.
High School Booster Clubs – If the newspaper does not buy the exclusive rights, you will seek to sell to the high school team’s booster club. They will then sell the 10 ad slots as a fundraiser.
Local or Regional Business – If the booster club does not buy the exclusive rights, you will seek to sell to a local or regional business such as a sporting goods retailer, a bank, or an auto dealer. This is your opportunity to be creative! Search the web for local businesses and sell them the exclusive rights to all ten ad slots at a discounted price. One local merchant can use all ten ad slots for themselves, or they can use just one ad slot and leave the others blank.
You Make 50% of Each Gross Sale.
If the Local Reseller buys the Single Payment Contract for an up-front seasonal payment of $488, you will be paid $244 within 2 weeks after payment from the Local Reseller clears our bank.
If you sell the Local Reseller the 30% Contract, on which they pay a $122 set-up fee and 30% of all ad revenues, you will receive $61 of the set-up fee and usually between $139 and $454 during the next 15 weeks of the season, depending on the ad prices the Local Reseller sets. So that could be as much as $576 you would make for one sale.
Payments to you are always made within 2 weeks after payment from the Local Reseller clears our bank.
The Opportunity
Currently, Friday Night Football Scores is seeking sales executives nationwide to sell via telephone to Local Resellers in Texas, including Texas daily and weekly newspapers, Texas high school booster clubs, and Texas local businesses. These Texas Local Resellers will in turn sell the ten ad spaces under each team’s listing as an extra stream of income. And in Texas, Friday night football and the Local Reseller Package is an easy sell.
Friday Night Football Scores will provide you with a FridayNightFootballScores.com email address and call back phone number, plus sales orientation. We will also assign to you an exclusive list of teams which you will work through each day. If you determine you cannot sell Local Reseller or Sponsor Package, then you take that team off your list and we will assign another. You will always have a good list of teams to work from.
There is no minimum education or experience required, but you must be motivated, focused, and a natural self-starter to succeed as a telephone sales executive for Friday Night Football Scores. It’s a commission-only, independent contractor opportunity, with no hourly pay, no base wage, and no reimbursement for out of pocket expenses. You will not in any manner be considered an employee. You will be a 1099 contract sales person. That means you will be compensated based entirely on what you sell – and you’ll be spending at least 70 percent of your work day managing inbound and outbound sales calls.
But if you have a knack for sales, the opportunity with Friday Night Football Scores can enable you to create your own success – all while working from home!
